Coaching
What coaching is for
Most of the people I work with in coaching aren't in crisis. They're functioning, but they sense a gap between how they're showing up and how they're capable of showing up. Something feels stuck, or flat, or like they're performing a version of themselves that's slightly smaller than the real one.
Coaching is for people who want to close that gap.
Specifically, it tends to be a good fit if:
You found me through Trauma Tonight or Trauma Dump with Lou Wilson and want to work directly. You've already seen how I think. You know whether my approach resonates.
You're a creator, performer, or professional who wants more range. Presence is a skill. Emotional range is a skill. The ability to stay in a difficult conversation, hold a room, or access something real under pressure — those can be developed. That's some of what we work on.
You're already in therapy and want a complement. Good therapy and good coaching can coexist. If your therapy is doing the deeper historical work and you want something more action-oriented and present-focused alongside it, coaching can be that.
What it looks like
Individual sessions are 50 minutes, one-on-one, conducted over video. The work is relational and experiential — meaning we pay attention to what's happening between us in real time, not just what you report from your week.
I'm direct. I'll name what I notice. I'll ask questions that go somewhere. If something shifts in the room, we'll use it rather than file it away.
The goal isn't to hand you a framework and send you home with homework. It's to expand your actual range — so you show up differently in the rooms that matter to you.
Group Coaching
Groups are one of the most effective formats for the kind of change coaching is after — the relational patterns that are hardest to see alone become visible immediately when other people are in the room. Groups are formed carefully around common ground. Reach out if you're interested and we'll talk about fit.
A note on privacy
Coaching sessions involve no clinical records, no diagnosis, and no documentation that enters your medical history. What happens in sessions stays between us. This also means coaching is not appropriate as a substitute for mental health treatment if that's what you need — but for the people it's designed for, the privacy is a genuine advantage.
